Why are you still stuck?

It’s hard to excell in life, if we lack the ability to bounce back quickly and swiftly after facing major adversities.

This is because sorrow and self-pity tend to persist in the minds of those who resist the urge to fight back.

Once these negative thoughts and feelings cling to a soul that has suffered multiple defeats, disappointments, failures or difficulties they tend to attract many other negative memories, feelings, emotions and thoughts that make it very easy to give up, give in, stay in bed, ignore calls, cancel meetings, delay projects and renounce dreams.

During those painful moments of guilt, shame, anger, regret and frustration, the average individual tends to find refuge in self destruction, excessive eating, drinking and binge watching series or envying “virtual friends" on social media.

Over time, these activities that seem at first reconforting and safe, start becoming attractive, compelling and addictive. They give the poor souls the freedom to feel okay with their misery, while awaiting a miracle to get them out of the rut they’re slowly singling in.

It’s only when these menial actions start loosing their appeal and start paining, because of their non-productive and self destructive natures that average individuals start desiring to get back into the ring to fight.

Champions, High achievers and Strong Souls on the other hand, don’t have the time for self pity and lying in distress. They always want to win and move their lives and dreams forward.

They see fears, rejections, failures and defeats as personal challenges to overcome and they will not stop until those actions are accomplished.

They do not defer the fight tomorrow, but rather find a way to recover, restrategize and attack again. Even when they’re sick, tired, hurt or overwhelmed, they will seek for another positive or aggressive way to keep the ball moving forward towards their goals and aspirations.

In conclusion, we must always remember that there is a big difference in outcomes depending on our ability to bounce back quickly and swiftly from the day to day battles of life and business.

Everybody endures challenges and defeats. Some last for long and others are temporary, however, no matter who you are, what you do and what you aspire to become and be remembered for, the way you respond to difficulties defines who you are and what you will become — a winning, persevering champion or a losing, defeated and envious loser.
